The Chamber Festival "In the Light of Hope" 2026 addresses the theme of life's end - how to accompany it with understanding and courage, whether as a caregiver or as someone coming to terms with their own mortality.

The programme features five speakers. Dr. Barbora Cervickova will present new trends in pediatric palliative medicine, specifically non-pharmacological approaches to easing the physical and psychological suffering associated with dying, which can also be applied to adult care. Leos Sevcik will focus on how psychedelics can help people come to terms with their own mortality. Jana Marie Kucerova will offer practical techniques for those accompanying loved ones in the final stage of life.

Janka Urbanova will demonstrate how aromatherapy can gently support people at the end of life and their caregivers. Lucie Hrda will present the services of Wish Ambulance, which helps people at the end of life fulfill their final wishes.
