Anthony Perkins as the mentally disturbed Norman Bates. His old, gloomy house serves as an occasional motel - and is certainly no place for peaceful rest, as Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) discovers.

A private detective (Martin Balsam) and Marion's sister (Vera Miles) set out to trace the missing young woman. Deadly tension mounts until it culminates in a horrifying and inevitable conclusion.

Bio Central is the last brick-and-mortar cinema in Hradec Králové, operating since 1929 under various names (Bio Slavie, Kino Jas, Kino Centrál). After a long break it reopened in December 2012. The large hall seats 384, the small hall 40. The programme covers mainstream and art-house films, live broadcasts of opera, theatre and ballet, a film club, and annual festivals such as Jeden svět, Dny evropského filmu and Cinema Open. In summer it also runs an open-air cinema at the Gayer Barracks.

John Herrick McIntire (June 27, 1907 – January 30, 1991) was an American character actor who appeared in 65 theatrical films and many more television series. McIntire is well known for having replaced Ward Bond, upon Bond's sudden death in November 1960, as the star of NBC's Wagon Train. He played Christopher Hale, the leader of the wagon train (and successor to Bond's character, Seth Adams) from early 1961 to the series' end in 1965. He also replaced Charles Bickford, upon Bickford's death in 1967, as ranch owner Clay Grainger (brother of Bickford's character) on NBC's The Virginian for four seasons.

During his career, Oakland performed primarily on television, appearing in over 130 series and made-for-television movies between 1951 and 1983. His most notable big-screen roles were in Psycho (1960), West Side Story (1961), The Sand Pebbles (1966), Bullitt (1968), The Hunting Party (1971), and Chato's Land (1972). On television, he was a regular on the cult classic horror series Kolchak: The Night Stalker (1974-1975), and the military drama Baa Baa Black Sheep (1976-1978).
