Korrontzi

The Basque band Korrontzi is coming to Club Kino in Černošice. One of Europe's most successful contemporary world music acts, the group was founded in 2004 in Mungia by Agus Barandiaran, a player of the Basque diatonic accordion (trikitixa). Their repertoire draws from traditional Basque folk music enriched by influences from other countries and cultures, modern technology, and new instruments.

Korrontzi has performed repeatedly in the USA, Canada, Argentina, Malaysia, India, Réunion, and Cape Verde. Their new albums regularly chart in the top ten of world music rankings. They also undertake major projects with symphony orchestras and dance ensembles.

The signature sound of their music is driven by the traditional diatonic harmonica trikitixa, which powers an energetic live show.
