At Svojanov Castle, blacksmiths, potters, wireworkers and other craftspeople will demonstrate their trades, complemented by fencing displays and medieval music.

About the venue: Svojanov Castle

Svojanov Castle is one of the oldest royal castles in Bohemia, founded around 1265 by King Ottokar II to protect the Trstěnice trade route between Bohemia and Moravia. The castle is notable for its unique combination of Gothic, Renaissance and Empire architectural styles and is known as the "villa of Czech queens." Visitors can explore historical exhibitions, the Gothic cellar with a torture chamber, the House of Squires, and climb the 26-metre-high watchtower. Since 1910 it has been owned by the town of Polička and since 1964 it has been a protected cultural monument.

On days of cultural events, admission may be increased according to the price list of the respective event
In July, the castle is open daily 9 AM-6 PM (last tour one hour before closing)
Parking directly at the castle (car 50 CZK)
The castle has a castle restaurant and accommodation available directly on the premises
Suitable for families with children; dogs on leash permitted
