Marcel Bárta + Brique

Marcel Bárta is a prominent figure in the Czech jazz and improvisation scene. A saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, and visual artist, he works at the intersection of jazz, free improvisation, experimental music, and performance art. He is associated with projects Vertigo, MUFF, and DoMa Ensemble.

Brique is a quartet led by vocalist Bianca Iannuzzi. Alongside her are pianist Eve Risser, bassist Luc Ex, and drummer Francesco Pastacaldi. The band builds on original compositions and texts by various authors, moving between lyrical songwriting, improvisation, and a rawer urban energy.
