Description was written before the event

Votice Monastery hosts a traveling exhibition of Retro Games this summer, taking you back to childhood. The exhibition features a rich collection of iconic games and toys from the 1950s to 1980s, exploring their origins, history, and manufacturers. Children can try out selected toys in a dedicated play area.

About the venue: Votice Monastery

The former Franciscan monastery of St. Francis of Assisi in Votice is a Baroque monastic complex founded in 1627 by Count Sezima z Vrtby. Its current form dates from a major reconstruction in 1766–1771. After being seized by the communist secret police in 1950 and used for industrial purposes, the monastery was restored and reopened in 2015 as a cultural centre. Visitors can explore permanent exhibitions (Franciscan life, regional museum, pram and doll collection, Gallery of St. Francis), seasonal exhibitions, and cultural events.
