Ivan Mládek and his Banjo Band perform at Nezámek in Hartmanice on the Šumava on Friday, 11 September 2026. The historic building in Dolejší Těšov, registered as a cultural monument, functions as a guesthouse and cultural venue with views of Kašperk Castle. Mládek will present his best-known compositions. This concert is one of two Czech dates on his tour; the second stop takes place in Havlíčkův Brod in December.

Nezámek is a listed heritage building in the hamlet of Dolejší Těšov near Hartmanice in the Šumava region. It functions as a guesthouse and cultural venue hosting concerts, theatre performances, and weddings. The windows offer views of Kašperk Castle, and the surroundings include the Šumava Protected Landscape Area and Kochánov Nature Park. The location was also used as a filming site for the TV series Vzteklina.

About: Ivan Mládek

Born in Prague on 7 February 1942, Ivan Mládek is a Czech songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and comedian leading Banjo Band since 1966. The ensemble merges country, folk, jazz and tramp music traditions, accumulating thousands of performances across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Germany and internationally over six decades. His 1977 composition "Jožin z bažin" achieved cult status worldwide and was notably performed by Metallica at their Prague show in 2018. Beyond music, Mládek has created over five hundred paintings, authored thirteen humorous books and designed the Guitariano, a keyboard instrument shaped like a guitar.
