An anniversary concert by Maxim Galkin marking his 50th birthday, featuring a special programme with new jokes and his signature style of humour.

About the venue: Hotel Thermal

A four-star spa hotel built between 1967 and 1976 to designs by the architect couple Věra and Vladimír Machonin - now one of the best-known Brutalist buildings in the Czech Republic. The 19-storey concrete structure holds 273 rooms and suites, a wellness centre, a spa, and a congress centre seating 2,000. Since its opening in 1977 it has served as the main venue of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, with stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Helen Mirren and Richard Gere on its red carpet. The complex connects directly to the Saunia Thermal Resort, whose outdoor pool is filled with natural Karlovy Vary spring water.

About: Максим Галкин

Russian comedian and showman Maxim Galkin (born 18 June 1976) gained prominence through his incisive impersonations of politicians and celebrities, performing sold-out shows across Russia and internationally for decades. Following his public denunciation of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, he departed the country with his family and relocated to Israel. In September 2022, Russia's Ministry of Justice designated him a "foreign agent". Since then, he has performed exclusively abroad, touring Europe, the USA and Israel.
