Prison Tour at Káznice na Cejlu

The former regional prison on Cejlu is one of Brno's exceptional buildings with a history dating back to the late 18th century. Originally standing beyond the city walls, it was gradually engulfed by the expanding city - and even today few realize that as recently as the 20th century, political opponents of both Nazism and Communism were executed here.

Guided tours (60 min.) explore the fates of prisoners and guards, and daily life within the prison walls in a broader political and social context.
