Káznice Prison Tour

The former regional prison in Brno's Cejl district has a history stretching back to the late 18th century. Originally built outside the city walls, it was gradually engulfed by the expanding city - and today few realize that executions of political opponents of both Nazism and Communism took place here well into the 20th century.

Guided tours (60 min.) explore the fates of prisoners and guards, and daily life behind prison walls in a broader political and social context.
