70 Years of Moravský Kras Protected Landscape - Holštejnská Cave
Holštejnská Cave is a horizontal cave in the northern part of Moravský Kras that is normally closed to the public. For this special occasion, you can visit it as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Moravský Kras Protected Landscape. The tour is suitable for children from age 6.
This is not a developed tourist cave with elaborate stalactite formations - instead you will experience an authentic cave tunnel with narrow passages through sedimentary layers and genuine underground conditions. The cave was discovered in 1966 and later connected to the neighbouring Jeskyně nezaměstnaných (Unemployed Cave); today they form an underground system approximately 700 metres long.
Tours start every hour from 10:00 to 17:00. The event takes place in all weather conditions. For more information, visit www.moravskykras.eu.
