Police Symphony Orchestra is an ensemble of 76 musicians, 37 choir singers, and 34 volunteers - known as PSOborci. The orchestra was founded in 2010 in Police nad Metují by siblings Petra and Jakub Soukup. Most of its 150 members are enthusiasts rather than professional musicians. The repertoire includes popular music, film scores, rock, swing, and classical works.
The orchestra is currently conducted by Jáchym Svoboda and Viktor Le Minh. It includes a choir led by choirmaster Lukáš Hrubeš and a quartet of permanent soloists: Josef Fečo, Andrea Holá, and Karolína Soukupová.
Over its 16-year history, PSO has sold out Lucerna, performed at the O2 Arena, played at the Grand Finale of Smetana's Litomyšl, at the Křižík Fountain, and on safari. The orchestra is also dedicated to charitable projects, having donated over 4.3 million crowns to help those in need.
