Lesní zvěř | Rabbit Slow

Lesní zvěř is an instrumental trio - keyboards (Jiří Hradil), drums (Martin Čech) and trumpet (Marek Steyer) - moving in the nu-jazz genre with its own distinctive voice. The band formed at the turn of the millennium and has undergone significant evolution: from improvisational experimentalism through more song-oriented forms to the current return to purely instrumental expression in a chamber trio setting. Concerts at domestic and international festivals have earned them a reputation as an original ensemble. Their history also includes collaboration with Horňácká hudba by Petr Mička, which enriched their debut album and led to the creation of the Hrubá Hudba project.

Rabbit Slow is singer-songwriter Petr Foltýn from the Moravian town of Milotice. His songs revolve around the search for identity, home and place in the contemporary world - they are infused with intimate melancholy and nostalgia. Besides music, he pursues photography, and just as he captures fragile moments and memories in his photographs, so too in his songs. Music magazine AlterEcho wrote about him: "Rabbit Slow creates music that is both comforting and unsettling - like a good friend who will listen to you but won't forget to remind you of important questions."
