Alena Antalová & Alex Anders: Chanson Gala Evening with Orchestra

You are cordially invited to a gala evening of original chansons by Alex Anders, performed by actress and singer Alena Antalová and Alex Anders, accompanied by a live orchestra.

Actress and singer Alena Antalová and composer, lyricist, singer and pianist Alex Anders present an exceptional concert evening featuring original author-composed chansons in a new orchestral arrangement. The programme "When Songs Tell Stories" combines theatrical interpretation, poetic lyrics, distinctive music and live orchestral sound. All songs are original compositions by Alex Anders, who wrote both the music and lyrics. The orchestral arrangements were prepared by František Štěrbák and Alex Anders.

The evening offers pieces full of emotion, humour, nostalgia, life stories and subtle irony. Here, chanson sounds not like a memory of the past, but as a contemporary, living and personal statement. On stage, Alena Antalová, Alex Anders and an orchestra of seven musicians will perform, with Alex Anders at the piano. The combination of a distinctive theatrical personality, original songs and orchestral accompaniment creates a festive atmosphere and exceptional musical dimension.

The orchestra is composed mainly of members of the Brno Philharmonic: Alex Anders - piano, Antonín Formáček - violin, Radan Vach - cello, Lukáš Mičko - acoustic and electric guitar, Georg Kellner - double bass and bass guitar, Jiří Sedláček - clarinet and saxophone, Otakar Salajka - viola, Martin Obr - accordion.

This gala evening follows the concert ALI, which was presented at the Brno City Theatre with great success. The concert takes place under the patronage of the Mayor of Brno. The concert lasts 120 minutes including intermission. CDs will be available for purchase at a special price. After the concert, there will be a meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with the performers.
