Zuzana Bubílková, Milan Pitkin and Miroslav Šimůnek bring their talk show Léčba smíchem to Písek on Wednesday, 11 November at Kino Portyč. The 110-minute show features amusing stories from the performers' private and professional lives, commentary on current events, and jokes accompanied by songs of Waldemar Matušek. The cinema is located on Čechova Street and its main hall seats 340 viewers. Bubílková is touring four Czech venues in November and December - after Písek, performances follow in Čáslav, České Budějovice and Svitavy. An autograph session takes place after the show.

About the venue: Kino Portyč

Kino Portyč opened in June 1990 and has been run by the Centrum kultury města Písek since 2016. The main auditorium seats 340 and doubles as a nuclear shelter - it was renovated after the 2003 floods and fitted with more comfortable seating. A second screen for 40 viewers was added in 2019, giving the cinema up to six titles on weekends. Part of the foyer functions as a gallery space, with exhibitions running throughout the year.

Milan Pitkin, born Milan Křivský in Prague in 1950, is a Czech comedian and entertainer known for his trademark stuttering style and mock-Hungarian impressions. For years he sang and played guitar in Ivan Mládek's Banjo Band and appeared in Mládek's sitcoms Noha 22 and Cyranův ostrov. He has also featured in popular TV shows such as Všechnopárty and Buřtcajk, and today performs his own stand-up and song programme.
