A tribute to Hana Hegerova takes place on 30 September 2026 at the Municipal Theatre in Turnov. Zuzana Nemcova Smejkalova presents an evening dedicated to iconic Czechoslovak chanson songs as part of her nine-date Czech tour. The Turnov theatre, built in 1872-1874, conceals a neo-baroque interior behind its modest facade and ranks among the oldest stone theatres in Bohemia. The programme combines masterful piano playing with rhythmic drum patterns, offering a distinctive interpretation of the classic works of Czechoslovak chanson's leading lady.

About the venue: Municipal Theatre

Turnov Municipal Theatre is one of the oldest stone theatres in Bohemia, built between 1872 and 1874 at the initiative of a local amateur theatre society and opened on 15 February 1874. Its modest exterior conceals a neo-baroque interior. The theatre has no permanent ensemble and hosts professional and amateur companies from across the Czech Republic. It is part of the Kulturní centrum Turnov.
