Tublatanka, the legendary Slovak rock group, performs on Friday 11 June 2027 in the main courtyard of Špilberk Castle in Brno. This is one of seven Czech dates on the band's current tour. Špilberk Castle rises above Brno's historic centre and stands as one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. Originally a royal residence from the 13th century, it gradually transformed into a powerful Baroque fortress. The concert in the courtyard of this cultural monument will provide a distinctive setting for an encounter with the collective that formed in 1982.

About the venue: Špilberk Castle

Špilberk Castle sits on a hilltop above Brno's old town and is one of the city's defining landmarks. Built in the 13th century by Přemysl Otakar II as a royal seat, it was later transformed into a massive baroque fortress and one of the harshest prisons in the Habsburg Empire. Today it houses the Brno City Museum (Muzeum města Brna) and is a national cultural monument - visitors can explore the casemates, permanent exhibitions and a lookout tower. The courtyard regularly hosts concerts, theatre festivals and the Summer Shakespeare Festival.

About: Tublatanka

Formed in Bratislava in 1982 by guitarist-vocalist Maťo Ďurinda and drummer Juraj Černý, Tublatanka rose to prominence as one of Czechoslovakia's leading hard rock acts during the 1980s. Their third album Žeravé znamenie osudu (1988) achieved sales of 250,000 copies, while their track "Pravda víťazí" gained recognition as an unofficial symbol of the Velvet Revolution. The trio of Ďurinda, Juraj Topor and Peter Schlosser released the album Uprostred chaosu in 2023 and maintains an active touring schedule throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
