Petr Švancara brings his new comedy show Já su já to Ústí nad Labem on Tuesday, 8 December 2026 at the Dům kultury on Velká Hradební. The performance is part of a nine-city tour across the Czech Republic. The Dům kultury on Velká Hradební has been the main cultural venue in Ústí nad Labem since 1964, designed in the spirit of abstracted classicism. The show draws on stories from football and personal life, behind-the-scenes tales from television programmes, and encounters with audiences. Švancara performs across multiple Czech cities throughout the autumn and winter season.

About the venue: House of Culture Ústí nad Labem

The House of Culture on Velká Hradební is Ústí nad Labem's main cultural venue, opened in May 1964 under the name "Trade Union House of Working People". Architects Helena Láchová Skálová and Jaroslav Lácha designed it in the style of abstracted classicism; the foyer features etched glass reliefs by René Roubíček. With a capacity of 2,700, the complex holds a theatre hall, cinema hall, representative hall, puppet stage and gallery, and is run by the city's Cultural Centre.
