The 11th edition of Vrskamytska Pivooslava brings tastings from seven microbreweries, live rock music throughout the day, and food and refreshment stalls.

Children under 15 enter free and enjoy their own programme: knights on horseback, a falconer, jugglers and acrobats, horse rides, a laser shooting range at the POKOS stand, and movement lessons with a professional dance instructor.

The event takes place in the grounds below the ruins of the medieval Vrskamytk Castle (Hunec) with views of the surrounding countryside.

About the venue: Hrad Vrškamýk

Vrškamýk (also known as Kamýk or Hunec) is a castle ruin about one kilometre west of Kamýk nad Vltavou. It was built in the first half of the 13th century under Wenceslaus I and completed by Přemysl Otakar II, serving as a summer residence of the Přemyslid rulers and an administrative centre for the left bank of the Vltava. After Karlštejn was built, the castle fell out of use and was recorded as derelict in 1569. The site is freely accessible year-round; a wooden lookout tower and a children's playground with medieval-inspired features stand in the lower bailey.
