Festival Vivat Vila 2026
364 Nádražní, Ostrov
Festival Vivat Vila! returns to the South Bohemian town of Prachatice in 2026 for the sixth time — after a one-year break when the organisers did not hold the 2025 edition due to capacity and staffing constraints. The three-day multigenre festival takes place on 10–12 July 2026 in the functionalist spaces of Králova vila (Nádražní 364) and the adjacent town centre. The organisers are the association Živá vila, together with the České Budějovice-based Světadíl and the Tábor-based Jednota.
The festival's primary goal is to save Králova vila, one of the most valuable purist-functionalist buildings in South Bohemia, whose existence is threatened by a planned road relocation.
This year's edition will feature the premiere of the band Bert & Friends and the Czech Republic's first drag queen Miss Petty. Ida the Young, Sinks, and Marcel Gidote's Holy Crab have also accepted invitations to present their new albums. The programme also includes: LADA sbor, Vojdi, Zaffer 9, Stepní běžec, Marjari, Dohor, B.R.A.N.A., Spiral Sadness, Ondřej Synek / Josef Čančík / Magdalena Havlová, Ondřej Štindl, Anna Řezníčková, Tadeáš Polák, Tobiáš Horváth, Kristína Zubáková, and Petr Němec.
Venue capacity is limited.
