The wanderer Smíšek loves songs. He sets out into the world, befriends a wandering Rabbit, and along the way meets a ghost who gives him magical violins. By the stream he carves a whistle, and from the Rabbit he gets a drum.

The fairy tale is full of songs and rhymes. Performed by Liduščino divadlo, duration 55 minutes.

About the venue: Votice Monastery

The former Franciscan monastery of St. Francis of Assisi in Votice is a Baroque monastic complex founded in 1627 by Count Sezima z Vrtby. Its current form dates from a major reconstruction in 1766–1771. After being seized by the communist secret police in 1950 and used for industrial purposes, the monastery was restored and reopened in 2015 as a cultural centre. Visitors can explore permanent exhibitions (Franciscan life, regional museum, pram and doll collection, Gallery of St. Francis), seasonal exhibitions, and cultural events.
