The Czech Philharmonic opens its new season with a traditional concert at Rudolfinum on Tuesday, 1 September 2026 at 19:30. Rudolfinum, a Neo-Renaissance cultural monument on Alšovo nábřeží in Prague 1, has served as the orchestra's home venue since 1992. The building, constructed between 1876 and 1884 after designs by Josef Zítek and Josef Schulz, houses the Dvořák and Suk halls. Opening concerts are part of a tradition the Czech Philharmonic maintains at the start of each season. Alongside this Prague performance, the orchestra has scheduled another concert this year at Hradčanské náměstí.

About the venue: Rudolfinum

The Rudolfinum is a neo-Renaissance cultural monument on Alšovo nábřeží in Prague 1, built between 1876 and 1884 by architects Josef Zítek and Josef Schulz. Since 1992 it has been the home of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, whose main stages are Dvořák Hall and Suk Hall. The building also houses Galerie Rudolfinum, focused on contemporary art, and serves as the centre of the Prague Spring and Dvořák Praha festivals.
