The international Celtic festival Lughnasad moves to a new location in 2026 — Ptení Castle near Prostějov, between Olomouc and Brno.

The festival takes place on 7–8 August 2026 and celebrates the Celtic festival of Lughnasad, traditionally associated with harvest celebrations and thanksgiving for the crops.

About the venue: Ptení Palace

A Renaissance castle in Prostějov District with origins dating to 1499, when Jakub ze Šárova began converting the local fortified manor. The building still retains its square floor plan with an inner courtyard and round corner turrets. In 1790 the entire upper floor had to be demolished due to the risk of collapse, giving the castle its current single-storey form. Since 2022 it has been owned by David Hudeček (Horset), who is gradually restoring it; from 2025 it opened to the public and hosts cultural events and festivals.
