The Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc performs under the baton of Alena Hron at the 35th International Music Festival Český Krumlov.

The evening programme opens with Paul Dukas's symphonic poem The Sorcerer's Apprentice, followed by Manuel de Falla's Magical Love – a ballet suite for mezzo-soprano and orchestra – performed by mezzo-soprano Bella Adamová. The second half of the concert is devoted to a selection from John Williams's film music for the world of Harry Potter.

Alena Hron is a Czech conductor active in symphonic and chamber music. She performs on both Czech and international stages and is associated with promoting Czech composers' works. She appears in the documentary Kaprálová as a conductor interpreting the music of Vítězslava Kaprálová.
