School Excursion with ŠUS Theatre to Švihov Castle

ŠUS Theatre and the Švihov State Castle administration invite school groups on an excursion featuring a comprehensive programme that includes a theatrical performance, a castle tour, and a creative workshop where children make their own puppet. The event runs from 11 May to 23 June 2026, always starting at 8:30, exclusively for pre-booked groups. Two theatrical performances are available: "Tales Against Tears" (for kindergarten and grades 1–2) – primarily a puppet show with modern fairy tales in which actors interact directly with children; and "From Old Czech Legends" (recommended from grade 2 onwards) – five famous legends from the arrival of Forefather Čech to Libuše's prophecy, presented in a humorous style using puppets and flat marionettes. In the creative workshop, each child makes and takes home a simple puppet of their own design from pre-prepared materials. Excursions are always held Tuesday through Friday. Participation is possible only by advance reservation.
