Paintings by Jana Havlíková at Švihov Castle
Vodní hrad Švihov, Švihov
An exhibition of paintings by artist Jana Havlíková runs in the exhibition hall of Švihov Castle from April 1 to May 31, 2026. Jana Havlíková was born in Prague and has lived and worked in Třemošná since 1973. She has had a strong passion for painting since childhood; from the 1970s onwards she has focused on working with oil paints. Her distinctive style is folk realism with characteristic brushwork and a keen sense of colour. She has presented her works at solo and group exhibitions, and her paintings are held in private collections not only in the Czech Republic but also around the world. The current exhibition presents a selection of works by the artist, a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the Czech Republic. The exhibition hall is located in the former stables in the castle's outer ward, which have been adapted for exhibition purposes.
