The first steam trains of the 2026 season will depart on the Mladějov narrow-gauge railway on Saturday, May 30. The eleven-kilometre Mladějov narrow-gauge line with a gauge of just 600 mm was built at the end of the First World War to transport strategically important materials such as slate and refractory clay.

Mladějovská průmyslová dráha is a 600 mm narrow-gauge railway built between 1917 and 1924 to haul clay and coal from the Hřebeč mines to a fireclay works in Mladějov. Industrial operations ended in 1991, and since 1997 the 11 km line has run tourist trains - steam and diesel locomotives - through to Hřebeč. The former factory grounds also house an industrial museum with exhibits covering railway, agricultural and construction machinery.
