Sepultura is a Brazilian heavy metal band formed in 1984 in Belo Horizonte. Pioneers of thrash and groove metal, they gained international fame with albums such as Chaos A.D. and Roots, blending metal with indigenous Brazilian rhythms. The band remains active and is a fixture on major metal festival stages worldwide.
