Ondřej Hudeček's "Covid western", awarded at the Sundance Festival for his short film Furiant, follows a small-time thief who, after returning from prison, gets caught up in a series of insurance frauds — this time to help local businesses survive. The film combines black comedy, drama, satire and crime, showing a community where the boundaries between good and evil blur in extraordinary times. The authentic atmosphere of Strážnice is enhanced by local dialect, a number of non-professional actors, and striking performances by Matyáš Řezníček, Filip Kaňkovský, Václav Neužil and Stanislav Majer.
