Václav Neužil (born 4 October 1979 in Plzeň) is a Czech stage and screen actor who has been a member of Dejvické divadlo in Prague since 2006. He gained international attention playing paratrooper Josef Valčík in the war film Anthropoid (2016), and won the Czech Lion Award and Czech Film Critics' Award for Best Actor for his title role in Zátopek (2021).
Neužil plays one of the main roles in the heist comedy Poberта (directed by Ondřej Hudeček), which had its cinema premiere on March 5, 2026.
In April 2025, Neužil received the Audiobook of the Year 2024 award with his colleagues for the interpretation of Jiří Havelka's dramatic text Elity for the publisher Audiotéka.
Neužil was nominated for the Czech Lion 2024 award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Bedřich Smetana in the television film Smetana.
The television film Smetana (ČT1), in which Neužil portrayed composer Bedřich Smetana, had its premiere on November 3, 2024.
At the Dejvické Theatre, a new production of Amatéři premiered in May 2025, in which Neužil performs.
