GEISSLERS HOFCOMOEDIANTEN - Anger

A stage corrida from the cycle Virtues and Vices.

An original theatrical statement by Petr Šmíd — the first part of a cycle inspired by the Baroque sculptures of Virtues and Vices by Matyas Bernard Braun in Kuks. The production explores anger through personal experience and presents it as an inseparable part of each of us — an emotion that society traditionally rejects, but which we must learn to understand and use. The creators draw on expert materials on the subject of emotions and anger (courses by psychologist Radka Schillerová, mentor Tereza Kantu Mužíková, publications by psychologist Šárka Míková, the podcast "Counting to Three" by psychologist Vlaďka Bartáková, works by Robert Bly, Jaak Panksepp, Joseph LeDoux, Antonio Damasio, Lisa Feldman Barrett and Gabor Maté). The ambition of the production is to open a space where young people can view anger as a source of self-knowledge and constructive energy through personal experience, theatrical imagery and subsequent reflection.
