Two married couples and plenty of lies in the name of truth.

How much do we lie to ourselves and those close to us? Are we protecting those we care about, or rather ourselves? And is it always worth telling the truth, or is it sometimes better to lie?

"If everyone told each other the truth, there wouldn't be a single couple left on Earth."

Married couple Alice and Paul are expecting their best friends for dinner — seemingly a harmonious couple, Laurence and Michel. But Alice is on edge: shortly before, she spotted Michel on the street kissing a stranger. Convinced that Michel's wife should know the truth, she asks Paul to cancel the dinner immediately. Paul, however, firmly advocates for tactful silence.

But it's already too late. The guests are already ringing the doorbell.
