Among Us Insects: The Social Life of Insects

An exhibition by Klára and Pavel Bezděček from the Vysočina Museum in Jihlava offers a glimpse into the fascinating world of miniature yet remarkably interesting creatures – the world of insects. Visitors will discover who rules an ant colony, how long a termite royal pair can reign, and what secrets the social life of insects holds. The exhibition includes live insectariums with living insects. The exhibition takes place at the House of Nature of the Žďárské Vrchy in the settlement of Krátká near Sněžné – a modern visitor centre of the Žďárské Vrchy Protected Landscape Area, housed in a historic farmstead from the second half of the 19th century. Educational programmes are also prepared for kindergartens, grades 1–2 and grades 3–9 of primary schools.
