Buildings Inspired by Ancient and Ancient Egyptian Culture

The exhibition "Buildings Inspired by Ancient and Ancient Egyptian Culture" presents the phenomenon of structures inspired by antiquity and ancient Egypt in garden heritage monuments across the Czech Republic. It takes place in the bowling alley of Kunín Castle, managed by the Novojičín Museum. The exhibition is accessible during the castle's tourist season, which in 2026 runs from April 2 to October 31. Kunín Castle is one of the most valuable Baroque castles in northern Moravia, built between 1726–1734 by Viennese architect Johann Lucas von Hildebrandt. The exhibition continues the tradition of thematic exhibitions in the castle's bowling alley – in the previous 2025 season, an exhibition dedicated to Oriental buildings in castle gardens was held here.
