Medieval Knight Tournaments at Dětenice Castle 2026

The medieval tournament grounds at Dětenice Castle were built following stable renovations in 2009. Every year from April to October, the castle resort hosts knight tournaments — its largest annual event. This year, visitors can enjoy a new performance by the medieval combat group Ordo Kromen: a story of brave knights in gleaming armour, magnificent horses, and clashing swords. During the show, spectators can admire acrobatic combat stunts, a display of unconventional weapons from the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries, and a battle between good and evil.

Tournaments run from April to June every Saturday and Sunday at 14:00, in July and August daily except Mondays at 14:00, and in September and October again every Saturday and Sunday at 14:00. Performances take place in all weather conditions, with covered seating provided. Tickets are purchased on-site at the main ticket office by the castle gate or in the gift shop. Reservations are not required.

The resort is located in Český ráj, approximately 65 km from Prague.
