Gorges in Hřensko – Boat Ride Season 2026

Divoká soutěska, Hřensko

Boat rides on the Kamenice River are among the main attractions of Bohemian Switzerland National Park. Divoká Soutěska (Wild Gorge) opens its 2026 season on April 1st and operates daily until November 1st, 2026, from 9:00 to 17:30. It is a deep, rocky canyon 450 metres long, accessible only by boat. The ride is circular – the boat takes tourists through and returns them – and lasts approximately 15 minutes. During the journey, the boatman tells the history of the gorges and describes the surrounding rock formations (Bear's Head, Rock Chapel, Robbers' Cave). Adult admission is 200 CZK, children aged 3–15 pay 100 CZK. Tickets cannot be purchased in advance; payment is available in cash or by card. The gorge was opened to tourism in 1898. Edmundova Soutěska remains closed in 2026 – intensive work is underway to reopen it following the devastating fire of 2022. The gorges can be reached from Hřensko upstream along the Kamenice River, from Mezní Louka via the blue hiking trail, or from Mezná via the green trail. Tourist shuttle bus No. 441 runs at 30-minute intervals between the main attractions of Bohemian Switzerland. The path to the gorges is not suitable for prams due to stairs from Mezná. Parking is available in Hřensko at a petrol station (free, 20 spaces) or at Mezní Louka.
