Flower Story at Loučeň Castle 2026

Flower Story is a special guided tour of Loučeň Castle held every year only in May. In 2026, tours run from May 1 to May 31. All rooms are decorated with flowers that speak to visitors through their fragrance, power, wisdom, and unique language of flowers. The flowers become the main guides through the castle, always accompanied by a member of the Thurn-Taxis princely family. Each flower tells its own story and carries special meaning — the queen of flowers, the rose, symbolizes love and passion as well as discretion, while tulips represent perfect love, passion, elegance, and kindness.

The tour lasts approximately 50 minutes, with groups of a maximum of 25 people. After the tour, visitors receive a small memento as a keepsake and inspiration. On weekdays, tours are held at 12:00, 14:00, and 16:00; on weekends and public holidays, hourly from 11:00 to 17:00. Every weekend Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday, there are also guided tours of the castle park with the castle steward at 14:00. In the castle park, a journey "Following Flowers Around the World" awaits with a special map and riddle. The boxwood labyrinth blooms with thousands of tiny flowers during the night of April 30 to May 1.
