For Families with Children: Crafts and the Old Town Hall Clock

A programme for children exploring traditional crafts – shoemaking, rope-making, beekeeping and more – in the council chamber of the Old Town Hall. This is where decisions about Old Town were once made, guild masters were appointed, and judgements connected to imprisonment in the "stocks" were handed down. The programme will explain the meaning of this term and the broader history of guilds and their symbols.

The tour includes quiz questions, a magic bag full of surprises, a mysterious character, and a worksheet with an original board game. This programme is part of a series of guided tours for children; each episode can be completed independently.
