Following the student comedy "School Is the Foundation of Life" (1938), director Martin Frič created another film based on the "student" texts by writer Jaroslav Žák. "Journey into the Depths of a Student's Soul," however, transcended in 1939 the boundaries of mere entertainment through its naturally patriotic tone.
