Rather Go Mad in the Wilderness

Twin brothers František and Ondřej Klišík live outside civilization in the Šumava region. Their only companions are farm animals and each other. Each copes with the limits of constant cohabitation in their own way – František increasingly escapes into fantastic worlds and wants to learn to fly, while Ondřej observes his attempts with a critical, more rational perspective.

Based on the book of the same name by Aleš Palán and Jan Šibík, this visually playful documentary explores long-term isolation and the transformation of sibling relationships against the backdrop of natural cycles. Through escape from everyday reality, it questions the rules of the world that surrounds us every day.
