Petr Tomeček / Pan's Flute in Full Glory

The concert «Petr Tomeček / Pan's Flute in Full Glory» takes place in the Chapel of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary in Poděbrady. The programme features well-known melodies across genres — including «Love Story», music from the film «Once Upon a Time in the West» and the theme from «The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe». Between pieces, Petr Tomeček speaks about Pan's flute and his journey to mastering this instrument.

Petr Tomeček studied trumpet at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and performed with the Prague Castle Guard Orchestra, the National Theatre of Moravia-Silesia and the Silesian Theatre in Opava. He devoted himself to playing Pan's flute under the guidance of Liselotte Rokyta and Ulrich Herkenhoff; he has also met personally with Maestro Gheorghe Zamfir. He performs regularly throughout the Czech Republic and abroad.
