Jerónimo Maya Trio (ESP) "Gitano Errante"

At the 23rd edition of the Ibérica festival, flamenco guitarist Jerónimo Maya will perform in the Czech Republic for the first time — a direct descendant of Ramón Montoya, the father of flamenco guitar. At just twelve years old, he played alongside Paco de Lucía at Carnegie Hall in New York; as a composer and experimentalist, he remains deeply rooted in flamenco tradition.

The performance title Gitano Errante (Wandering Gypsy) reflects Jerónimo's connection to Spanish gitanos and his lifelong journey as a wanderer. At the concerts on June 19 in Prague and June 20 in Brno, he will be accompanied by dancer Daniel Caballero and percussionist José López.
