THE FREAKY BUDS (France)

Line-up: Max Genouel – vocals, guitar; Lonj – guitar; Thomas Troussier – harmonica; Hugo Deviers – drums, vocals.

The Freaky Buds draw from electric blues (R. L. Burnside, Magic Sam) and blend it with rockier influences (The Black Keys, The Dead Weather, Rival Sons). The band plays without a bass guitar – in the spirit of a classic blues ensemble.
