The Freaky Buds are a French blues-rock quartet drawing on electric blues from R. L. Burnside to Magic Sam, blended with rock influences from acts like The Black Keys and Rival Sons. They deliberately play without a bassist as a nod to blues roots. Their 2023 album Hard Days, Fuzzy Nights earned praise for its hypnotic groove and guitar-harmonica interplay.
