Jiří Pinkas (viola) + Matěj Pinkas (piano)

A concert by Jiří Pinkas, a member of the Bennewitz Quartet, and his son Matěj, structured in two parts. The first half features works from the classical repertoire - A. Dvořák and J. Brahms.

After the intermission, a lighter programme follows that may appeal to audiences who don't usually attend purely classical concerts: nine of the most famous songs from Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story, arranged for viola and piano. Between individual songs, the performers will guide the audience through the narrative inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Subscription passes are valid for this concert. Remaining tickets are available in limited quantities at www.kcct.cz, at the City Museum (Klácelova 11), at the Cultural Centre office (Nádražní 397), and one hour before the start at the box office.
