DATE CHANGE — the concert has been postponed due to health reasons. The orchestra will announce the new date. Tickets remain valid.

The first concert of the Ensemble Opera Diversa this year marks a return after several years away to a repertoire with exclusively foreign geographical roots. The ensemble previously devoted itself to British music as part of the project Island in the Stream (2015); this time the programme features three Czech premieres, Benjamin Britten's beloved Rimbaudian illuminations, and one of the final works by Gustav Holst. Conducted by Patrik Červák, with soprano Jana Vondrů in the solo vocal roles.

Programme:
Gustav Holst: Brook Green Suite for strings (1933)
Thea Musgrave: Aurora for strings (1999), Czech premiere
David Matthews: Three Housman Songs for soprano and strings (2015), Czech premiere
Thomas Adès: O Albion for strings (2019), Czech premiere
Benjamin Britten: Les Illuminations for soprano and strings (1939)

Performers: Jana Vondrů (soprano), Ensemble Opera Diversa (orchestra leader Jan Bělohlávek), Patrik Červák (conductor).
