Discover the story of one of the most significant historical landmarks of western Slovakia.
Hlohovec Castle takes you through centuries of history — from a medieval fortress to the representative residence of the Erdődy noble family. Following extensive restoration, the castle has been open to the public since 2019.
The tour is built around a guided walk with an expert guide who will lead you through various rooms and explain life in the castle across different historical periods. Using tablets with augmented reality, visitors can compare the current state of the rooms with their digital reconstructions. The tour also includes access to the gallery, where Slovak and international artists exhibit their work.
The grounds feature a castle park with French terraced gardens, a pond, and Central Europe's largest plane tree grove.
