Tragedy — Theatre Na Čucky, Olomouc

A theatrical production about why people do (or don't) go to the theatre. And why it matters to have a strong story.

Antígone, Electra, and Oedipus the King meet, and Oedipus says: "Go on, girls, take your problems with you..." and Antígone says: "But father..." and Oedipus replies: "Be quiet, daughter! I'm suffering like mad..." and Antígone says: "I know, father, but..." and Oedipus says: "Be quiet, daughter, I'm suffering like mad!". So Antígone falls silent. After a moment, Electra, very dramatically, says: "Nobody cares anyway, old man."

A production about why people don't go to the theatre. Or why they do. And why it matters to have a strong story. And whoever doesn't have one is worthless. And whoever has one but doesn't know how to sell it is also worthless. And whoever has one and knows how to sell it still hasn't won, because someone else will come along with a better or worse story, but knows how to sell it better, and the first person is again - worthless.
