Description was written before the event

Shrek, a green ogre with alien-like tentacles, lives alone but contentedly in his cottage deep in the forest - until an endless stream of fairy-tale characters, banished from the kingdom of the sour Lord Farquaad, invades his home. To restore order and peace to his dwelling, Shrek promises to free Princess Fiona from the dragon's captivity and bring her to the lord as his bride.

With the help of a clever donkey, willing to do anything for Shrek except stay quiet for even a moment, the ogre keeps his promise. But then things get wonderfully tangled and complicated, and everything turns out quite differently.
