Mike Myers (born May 25, 1963, in Scarborough, Ontario) is a Canadian actor, comedian, screenwriter and producer who rose to fame as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1989 to 1995, then built three defining film franchises: Wayne's World, Austin Powers and Shrek. The Shrek series, in which he voices the title ogre, ranks as the second highest-grossing animated franchise ever, with combined box office receipts exceeding $4 billion. In 2017 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada for his body of comedic work.
